BRIEF
Nicaragua is a small country located in Central America that has faced political, economic, and social turmoil for years. During the Nicaraguan revolution, over 300 murals were painted. Most of those are now gone and have been painted over by the government. The goal is to positively impact the city of Managua through promoting cultural development, not erasing it.
FINDING
Designing an identity and campaign for a country rich in history required ample research. The logo mark is based off of ancient petroglyphs found throughout Lake Ometepe, which are geometric and often inspired by the likeness of animals commonly found in Nicaragua. Colors such as pink, yellow, and blue – colors commonly found throughout Latin culture – were chosen because of their positive qualities.
